6 Easter ideas

without the chocolate……

There is something so exciting about an Easter egg hunt! Running around your garden in your pj’s is such a powerful childhood memory. Chocolate for breakfast! What could be more exciting than that?

Here are a few ideas to stretch that feeling out a bit longer…… without so much chocolate…… but ok…. Some chocolate……

  1. New pj’s or nightie

Obviously… we love new nightwear at Easter! The jammies are delivered to their pillows while the kids are in the bath or shower on Easter Saturday night. Then, everyone is looking gorgous in their new nighties and pj’s for the egg hunt on Sunday morning. Don’t forget to add a little pile of jelly beans on top of the jammies! (If you have seen ‘Hop’, you will know what I’m talking about!). We have some beautiful new styles of Australian made, organic cotton nighties and pyjamas on www.nightienightlane.com

  2. Little plastic or tin eggs.

Little fillable plastic or tin eggs can be bought quite cheaply from craft stores and supermarkets. Fill them with something exciting like

3. Bunny books

There are classics like Watership Down, Peter Rabbit or our favourite Ruby Red Shoes.

5. Something to collect your Easter treasures.

You need a little basket or bag on your Easter egg hunt! While our favourite bunny trug from Bear and Sparrow has sold out for this Easter, you could try Bed Bath and Table for some beautiful wire or fabric baskets. They also have some pretty special bunny ears!

6. Ok….. you can’t have Easter without the chocolate!

The Essential Ingredient sells the most amazing Easter eggs that are inside a real egg shell! The eggs are blown, filled with chocolate and praline and then painted. Such fun on Sunday morning.

But our absolute favourite chocolate has to be the Australian made Haigh’s. You can now but their chocolate online! They even make hot cross bun truffles!
